It seems rather odd to have part of the Tour in England but I’m not complaining. Sporting events in London seem to bring people together like nothing else and with entertainment, cinema screens, a food festival and family activities there is a lot more on offer than just watching the cycling. This is a free event and will probably be very busy so turn up early to bag yourself a good spot.

This weekend kicks off the start of the week long Hampstead Summer Festival. There will be lots of entertainment for the whole family; a traditional carousel, street circus acts, donkey rides, face painting and live music.

I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to tech and gadgets and the Digital Revolution exhibition at Barbican seems to bring together art and tech to chart the rise of all things digital since the 1970s. There are new commissions, film screenings, workshops and talks from artists, film makers, architects, designers and games developers. Get your geek on and head there today.
